The Steel Kings DR 16x8 and 19x8 horseshoe is a lighter horseshoe with concave model that has a very nice, tight zip for optimal traction. This horseshoe model has the well-known Kings DR model which ensures a light horseshoe with maximum grip and shoeing comfort.

The Steel Kings DR range is designed for trouble-free shoeing of ponies and yearlings. This type of shoe is characterised as a hard-wearing lightweight horseshoe with a zero-slip zip and finish for optimum grip. The design leaves maximum material at the toe for wear and to prevent the shoe from pulling open, a common problem with light section horseshoes. This Steel Kings DR 16x8 comes in a front and back shoe. Both have models with and without lips. Thus, the front shoe with lip has a Radius toe lip and the back shoe has a model with Radius toe lip and with Radius side lips. These lips are characterised by the solid base that has enough material to reforge - if necessary. In addition, the Radius lip reduces the amount of wall you have to remove to get the lip in line with the hoof wall, ideal for thinner hooves. The Steel Kings DR 19x8 front shoe is the solution for racehorses that run and train with the same horseshoes and for horses with weaker hooves that cannot be shoeed as often as other racehorses. The wider profile provides maximum coverage and support for the highest performance, while Kerckhaert's DR profile provides maximum grip for safety while also keeping the weight of this shoe surprisingly low.
