The race horse's comfort is an essential part of their success. The Alu Kings Extra Sound is designed for optimum comfort. The front shoe has the ideal shape of the hoof, making it easy to fit. The hind shoe as well has the perfect fit design with the known Kerckhaert left-right pattern that is based on anatomical and biomechanical principles. The race plate is made of high quality aluminium and both front and hind plates have a steel insert in the toe for more wear. The solid Radius clips are positioned completely on the outside, the rim (radius), of the shoe, is nicely tapered and has more than enough material at the base. Front shoe The front shoe had the ideal shape for the modern thoroughbred race horse. The toe conforms to the natural shape of the hoof making it easy to fit. The wider section offers more cover and support to the hoof while the rounded edges reduce the risk of injury or losing shoes. The patented Sole Relief reduces pressure and concussion to the sole when the hoof is under extreme stress while galloping. The unique scooped concave section gives the horse more grip as the shoe cuts into the surface. This scoop is more defined at the toe while it becomes flatter as it comes round to the quarters. The coarseness of the nail holes perfectly matches the natural thickness of the hoof wall. The front shoe is available unclipped or with a Radius Toe Clip in normal and extra strength version. The solid Radius toe clips are positioned completely on the outside, the rim (radius), of the shoe. This patented clip is nicely tapered and has more than enough material at the base. Hind shoe The hind shoe is a perfect aluminum fit. The specially designed left and right pattern is based on the anatomical and biomechanical principles. The outside branch of the hind plate (with outside branch indicator) is slightly longer and wider for better cover and support, but the inside branch is tapered for close fitting to avoid brushing. The wider section gives more cover and also gives much better wear. The hind shoe is available without clip, with Radius toe-clip or with Radius side clips in normal and extra strength.
