This European standard type copper-coated horseshoe nail has a longer and thinner shank, compared to the regular E nail. This makes it very easy to nail higher without damaging the hoof wall, especially if the hoof wall is thinner. The smaller sizes are also suitable for use in aluminium or steel race plates. The coating with CU Shield Technology protects the hoof wall during the entire shoeing cycle. The natural properties of copper ensure that the area around the horseshoe nail is free of bacteria and keeps the hoof wall stronger and healthier.
